    NOW Real Food® Carob Powder is a flavorful and versatile substitute for chocolate. Use in place of cocoa powder in your favorite recipes for delicious chocolate flavor without the fat, caffeine or theobromine found in chocolate.

    Carob isn’t as rich as chocolate but it’s actually sweeter. When cooking with carob, substitute 1.5 to 2 parts carob powder for every 1 part cocoa powder called for in a recipe. Due to carob powder’s sweetness you may need to decrease the amount of sugar used.

    Dairy-Free Hot Carob
    2 cups water
    ¼ cup NOW Real Food® Organic Coconut Milk Powder
    1 ½ tbsp. NOW Real Food® Carob Powder
    1 tbsp. NOW Real Food® Organic Monk Fruit 1:1 Sugar Replacement
    ½ tsp. vanilla extract
    Directions:
    1) Place all ingredients in small pot on medium heat.
    2) Whisk together until ingredients are combined.
    3) Allow for mixture to reach boil.
    4) Serve warm and enjoy!
