Piggies in a Blanket | Taste & Learn

It's time for a hearty breakfast that you can enjoy in your sunny kitchen, or on the way to work. These savory piggies are gluten-free, dairy-free, low-glycemic, and high protein. 3/4 cup cold water

2 eggs

2 scoops NOW Egg White Protein Powder

5 drops NOW Liquid Stevia Maple flavor

1 3/4 cup NOW Almond Flour

a dash of salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar-style almond cheese (or your favorite cheese)

6 halved Applegate Breakfast Sausages (you can chop into smaller pieces if preferred)


1. Separate yolks from eggs and set aside (do not throw away).

2. Whip egg white protein powder and cold water until combined. Add in egg whites and whip until foamy.

3. Mix in drops of liquid stevia.

4. Fold in almond flour.

5. Add salt and baking powder.

6. Fold in almond-cheese.

7. Scoop batter into muffin cups, only half full. Place a half piece of sausage in center of muffin cup.

8. Bake at 395 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 10 minutes or until lightly golden. Enjoy warm or cold!
