Natural Oils for Every Skin Type

Simplify your beauty routine and get glowing, naturally! Pure, plant-based oils are a healthy and cost-effective alternative to brand-name skin care products. Plus, they are easy to use and full of skin-loving nourishment. Here we share some of the benefits of our favorite natural oils for every skin type. For Oily Skin

  • Jojoba Oil—jojoba oil closely imitates our skin’s natural sebum, making it an ideal choice for both oily and dry skin. Jojoba is an ultra-moisturizing source of healthy fatty acids, and is a lovely moisturizer for hair as well.
  • Grapeseed Oilgrapeseed oil nourishes skin with natural fatty acids while protecting it from free radical damage. Because it won’t clog pores, grapeseed oil is an excellent choice for oily and acne-prone skin.
  • Argan Oil—this ultra-nourishing oil provides a healthy dose of fatty acids for skin and hair, while being ultra lightweight and easy-to-absorb. 

For Dry Skin

  • Avocado Oil-- Richly moisturizing for dry and undernourished skin, avocado oil is full of skin-loving nutrients, including vitamins and fatty acids. It can also help calm inflamed or irritated skin.
  • Coconut Oil-- The ever-popular coconut oil nurtures and protects dry sky, and doubles as an eye makeup remover too!
  • Evening Primrose Oil-- Naturally rich in fatty acids (especially GLA), Evening Primrose Oil replenishes dry skin while protecting it from further moisture loss.

For Combination Skin

  • Any oil that is safe for oily skin is also a great moisturizer for dry skin! Jojoba, Argan, and Grapeseed oils nourish both oily and dry skin types to promote a balanced complexion.
  • Carrot Seed Essential Oil-- This versatile oil works well for skin types ranging from oily to mature. Its balancing and rejuvenating properties make it an excellent choice for combination skin. Add a few drops of this essential oil to a carrier oil or your favorite moisturizer before applying. 
  • Sweet Almond Oil-- Deeply nourishing and easily absorbed, Sweet Almond Oil is well-suited for combination skin types. It is also a natural source of antioxidant Vitamin E, which helps protect skin from oxidative damage and environmental stress.

A Few Tips...

  • Less is more—only a few drops of oil are needed to provide sufficient moisture.
  • It’s ok to mix it up! Use one drop each of a couple of different oils to create your own skin care blend. Or, vary the oils you use between your morning and evening routines. 
  • Don’t forget your hair! Dry hair benefits from moisturizing fatty acids found in natural oils. Rub a couple of drops between your palms and gently smooth over hair to calm flyaways and frizz, while adding moisture and natural sheen. You can also massage several drops onto your scalp and let sit for 20 minutes before washing hair as normal (argan oil and castor oil are especially good for the scalp and hair).
