Daring Detox Shots

Feeling low-energy or like you’ve just had enough junk? Try these Strawberry Cucumber, Grapefruit Mint, and Apple Ginger shots! They're super refreshing and use all-organic ingredients that you can find at Fruitful Yield stores.

Try this trio of juice shots in the morning before breakfast, before every meal, or in conjunction with your next clean eating plan. Soon you’ll be feelin’ cool as a cucumber.

Prep time: 10 minutes

Juice time: 5 minutes

Servings: 2 sets of 3 shots

Ingredients:

1 cup strawberries

½ of a cucumber, with skin on

1 ruby red grapefruit, peeled.

a handful of fresh mint (about 1 oz)

1 apple

a small piece of fresh ginger root (about 1/2 inch)

3 large cups, 1 for each flavor

Directions:

1. Rinse your fresh ingredients.

2. Cut the peel off grapefruit, leaving some white. Halve all larger fruits to fit your juicer.

3. Place a large cup under the spout to catch the juice, and begin juicing!

4. Strawberry Cucumber: Juice strawberries and cucumber. Use the pusher to make sure ingredients get fully juiced.

5. Grapefruit Mint: Repeat juicing process into a new cup with grapefruit and mint.

6. Apple Ginger: Finally, juice your apple and ginger into a third cup.

7. Serve in your shot glasses, and refrigerate leftover juice shots. Juice will keep for 24-48 hours in the fridge (72 hours is maximum time suggested). Keep in an airtight container- glass airtight containers are ideal.

Optional: Mix in a dash of cayenne pepper, cinnamon, or a squeeze of fresh lime before serving for extra detox goodness. We love cinnamon with the apple ginger shot!
