Collagen Hot Cocoa

Nothing beats a cozy cup of cocoa on a chilly day! We use collagen protein and organic cocoa powder in this easy-to-make recipe for a healthy treat you can enjoy all season long.

Prep time: 5 minutes



1 Cup almond milk (or another plant-based milk)

Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides single serving stick

2 Tablespoons Cocoa Lovers™ Organic Cocoa Powder

Sweetener to taste (stevia or honey)


1. Warm almond milk in a pot over low heat.

2. Whisk in cocoa powder and collagen powder until dissolved.

3. If desired, stir in additional sweetener to taste. 

4. Serve warm in your favorite seasonal mug and enjoy!


  • Reduce sugar with unsweetened almond milk and stevia or xylitol to sweeten.
  • For an extra chocolatey version, use chocolate almond milk and BetterStevia™ Dark Chocolate drops.
  • Add a splash of coffee or shot of espresso to create a mocha flavor.
  • For a caffeine-free version, substitute 3 Tablespoons of carob powder for 2 Tablespoons of cocoa powder 
  • Make Mexican-inspired cocoa with a dash of organic cinnamon and cayenne!
