Christmas Morning Scones
After all the gifts have been opened, your family will still have a special treat to look forward to when you make these sugar-free scones a part of your Christmas morning. We’re balancing flavor and good health by replacing sugar with our Sugarless Sugar™ sugar replacement and using Coconut Infusions™ Non-Dairy Butter Flavored coconut oil in place of other cooking oils.


1 diced small apple
½ cup water
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup + 1 teaspoon Sugarless Sugar™
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 Tablespoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon sea salt
¾ cup cold Coconut Infusions™ Non-Dairy Butter (cut into ½ inch cubes)
1 egg
½ cup milk


1. Preheat oven to 400° F. Cover a sheet pan with parchment paper.
2. In a sauté pan on medium heat, place diced apple with water, lemon juice, cinnamon, and 1 tsp. Sugarless Sugar.
3. Allow the apples to cook for 10 minutes or until softened and set aside to cool.
4. In a large bowl combine all dry ingredients. Add butter infused coconut oil to dry ingredients and fully coat; be careful not to melt the oil.
5. In a separate bowl whisk egg with milk. Pour into flour mixture and combine until dough is formed.
6. Carefully fold in apples and combine for 1 minute.
7. On a lightly floured surface, knead for 2 minutes and coat dough with flour.
8. Roll out dough until it is approximately one foot long.
9. Using a knife, cut dough into triangles. Place on the prepared sheet pan.
10. Cook for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm and enjoy!

    Great recipe! Made this over the Christmas holiday. I did one with the original recipe as listed on the website and another using an egg and dairy alternative for the ones in the family who are unable to have dairy or egg ingredients, I used coconut milk for the alternative. Both turned out very well, tasted great, and definitely something I'll be making again.
